| Unlock Samsung SGH-D807 SOLUTION
I found this off another site. I have tested this withy my D807 and it works.
1. If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to (I used a TMOBILE card from my buddy Darin)
3. When Incorrect SIM (I got invalid card and there was a sim card graphic spinning) error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey. (I ended up pushing the down key to get a menu)
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK Mentioned earlier gets switched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.
Easy as pie. Now you have an UNLOCKED Samsung D807 =) worked on my brand new 2 day old Samsung D807 phone.
Oh also guys I called Cingular (on hold for 1 hour with these losers) and they told me there is no way to SAVE phonebook contacts from the phone to your sim card. Now this really pisses me off. So I did some searching and found out that with the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card. Just thought you all should know as there is no menu option on the phone.

| THanks for heads up
I was curious to know if it was permanent or temporary.
So far I have turned it on & off, & have taken sim out, & switched sims, (only a few times with tmobile sim & at&t) So far so good.
Whats the gauranteed way to make it unlock permanently?
I have seen advertisements where all they need is the IMEI number and they send you a permanent code? Any ideas on how that may work?
Thanks for heads up!

| I have searched wonderlessly for the past 48 hours
for the past 48 hours i have wonderlesssssly been looking for the "calculator" that generate codes through IMEI number, but unsuccessful. I am very new to unlocking sims, it seems as if every forum i visit is always selling software. What is general items you may need if you want to start unlocking phones? |

Hey all, i've registered just to say that this trick does indeed work. My cousin's vodafone card worked perfectly, and I have no problems yet with my phone. I'm sure i won't have any problems with a new SIM card either. Thank you again to the poster!

Just to understand...
This unlock only works to break the "lock" that phone companies use to block another sim from another company ?

My daughter told me that if I use someone's Verizon SIM to proof my phone, Verizon will charge $25 to the Verizon bill for registering the SIM on a new phone. Is that true? Not sure my daughter will appreciate me getting her charged, so I wanna make sure.......

| Victory!
OK,
So on Easter Sunday I won an ebay Auction for T-moblie sim card for like $7.77, (came with 30 minutes of phone time). It came in yesterday's mail and I followed the instructions above.
IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY!
Put the old sim in and it worked, powered it off, put the new one in, it still worked. Powered it off all night and the Tmoblile sim worked this morning when I tried. I'm with the guys who say this is permanent. It certainly doesn't reset when you power the phone off..
I'll use this phone when I travel to Poland this summer with a prepaid Polish SIM card, and not have to buy another phone, SWEET!
my little way of STICKING IT TO THE MAN..LOL |

how do you know if you've unlocked your d807? "cingular" still appears on the main screen. i dont know if it's just because i have a cingular sim card or if it went back to being locked to cingular. i did notice that the video function appeared which i didn't have before. so know i can go to tmobile and get a sim card and start using tmobile's service?
