C257, C261, V175-V177 Unlock, Repair
Respected Infinity-Box users,
Due to huge amount of double posts in old subj related threads and total users ignorance of any advice to read old threads, here we collect most important information about C257, C261, V175, V176, V177 unlocking and repair.
Most important manuals attached, please, read it before ask. If you don't see attached files or can't download it: login in forum before download.
More manuals available in www.infinity-box.com support area.
Known problems: as you know, currently not possible to unlock some C257, C261, V175, V176, V177.
If during unlock process you see in software log window error messages like:
"Err: this hardware not supported yet"
"Err: this unit can't be unlocked"
this means: currently we have no methods to unlock this phone.
this means: you can't unlock this phone with Infinity-Box.
this means: we can't give any advice how to unlock this phone.
this means: you can't unlock phone at the moment.
this means: такой телефон пока не разлачивается. Не надо спрашивать "когда".
Please, no need to ask us "when", no need to send to us backup files from phones that can't be unlocked. Backup from sp-locked phone can't help us to unlock it.
Please, don't ask us privately to unlock phones that can't be unlocked. We will ignore all this kind of questions.
Unlock result (success or failure) depends on the next things:
.not depends on phone Firmware version
.not depends on phone Language Pack version
.not depends on phone Flex version
.not depends on network operator that phone is locked
.depends on your luck only
If you can't find required special Flex file in support area:
find original phone locked to the same network, read flash from it, send it to InfinityHelp@yahoo.com.hk and we will prepare special Flex file to repair your phone.
DON'T send me any flash backup from damaged phone !
If your phone can't Power-On (dead) or can't connect with software (dead):
1. Please, check battery voltage or check battery on other phone.
2. If battery Ok (and you know for sure that battery Ok): flash phone with Firmware + Flex + LP
3. If phone still can't Power On (dead): check phone hardware
4. If phone in "restart" condition: make repair procedure according to attached manual (also available in http://www.infinity-box.comsupport area)
TracFone customized phones: instruction attached.
For people who don't like to read manuals but want to see phones alive:
. Never flash sp-locked phones with any Flex files !
. It's no need to write any flex file in phone before unlock !
. Read unlock manual carefully and follow it exactly step-by-step !
